July FOWL Author talk- Karen ViggersFriends of Wingecarribee Libraries present July 2024 Author Talk
Karen Viggers in conversation with Luisa Hall

About the book: Sidelines

Sidelines is an essential read for all parents in this competitive era. It focuses on a sports game which descends into a brawl after a controversial line call in a fast-paced contemporary novel from the bestselling author Karen Viggers.

When a violent brawl erupts at a suburban junior soccer game, some onlookers are shocked. But others saw it coming. Rivalry, parental pressure, coaching bias, inequity, and many other factors have played a part in turning Saturday mornings into a pressure cooker.

Then when Griffin, a naturally gifted player with spectacular skills, arrives, the tension within the team reaches boiling point. But who is going to crack first - the parents or the players?
