Privacy Statement

The Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (“PPIPA”) provides for the protection of personal information and for the protection of the privacy of individuals. Council is required to manage personal information in accordance with the Act, and any personal information held by Council may only be used and disclosed in accordance with the Act and other legal requirements.

The website includes the UserWay accessibility widget, which appears as a small icon in the corner of the page and allows visitors to adjust the appearance of the site to suit their accessibility needs, such as changing font size, contrast, or enabling a screen reader. UserWay may store a cookie on your device to remember your accessibility preferences between visits; this is a functional cookie used solely to improve your experience on the site. The website includes a newsletter subscription form in the footer where you can provide your email address to receive updates from Wingecarribee Libraries. If you choose to subscribe, your email address is collected and stored for the purpose of sending you library news and updates. Your email address will not be shared with third parties, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any email we send you.

Personal Information and Privacy

Where information collected through cookies constitutes personal information, Council will manage this information in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW), and Council’s Privacy Management Plan. Council is committed to handling personal information in an open and transparent manner and only for purposes directly related to Council functions and activities.

Third-Party Services
