Join our upcoming community ‘walkshops’!

Share your ideas to help make the spaces around the library feel safer!
Bowral Library is leading a new project in partnership with Transport for NSW to find practical solutions to help all visitors feel safer and more welcome.
Upcoming community walkshops (walking workshops) will focus on the experiences of women, girls and gender-diverse people, particularly young female and gender-diverse people aged 16+ when visiting the library.
In these sessions participants will take a walk with us around the library and tell us how they feel when moving in and around the area. Participants will gather to discuss ideas and observe particular areas together.
Just for participating, you can receive up to 3x gift cards of up to $75 per workshop ($225 in total) provided by the State Library of NSW, with light refreshments provided at each walkshop.
This project is funded through the Safer Cities program, an initiative led by Transport for NSW.
