ABOUT THE BOOKS

Author Victoria Knox will talk about her books and what inspired them. Using real historical events, she entwines fact and fiction to create nail-biting spy stories and thrillers set during WWII and The Cold War.

The Clement Wisdom Series is set during World War Two, featuring the Reverend Clement Wisdom, a rural vicar who becomes embroiled in the covert world of the Secret Intelligence Service. With the backdrop of the top-secret Auxiliary Units which were formed in anticipation of a Nazi invasion of Britain, the story is one of betrayal and murder. The following two books see Clement in the north of Scotland and Cambridgeshire where secret networks of spies are infiltrating the nation. Books four and five are set in Australia and the South Pacific where Clement leads a team to rescue a code breaker from Singapore and uncovers a nest of sympathisers who are passing information to the Japanese.

Neither Despise Nor Fear is the first in a new Cold War era series set in Britain, Scandinavia and the USSR in the 1960s. Recruited at a young age into Mi5, Alistair Quinn becomes the scapegoat in a high stakes mission of deception, treachery and death where no one can be trusted.
